From Fr. Clayton (05/06/20)

I’m glad to share with you that we will begin our regular weekend and weekday Mass time schedule starting this Saturday May 9th with some adjustments for the time being noted below. The Sunday/Wednesday regular Adoration times will also resume starting this Sunday May 10th. We will need to follow precautions but are allowed to begin again. Archbishop wants you to be able to receive Communion. We still need to be safe but can now more fully enter back in to our faith together with the Lord.

The Sunday/Sat evening obligation to attend Mass is dispensed from by the Archbishop still. So no one is required to come and may choose to go during the week instead or watch/pray from home.

Those who are more at risk are encouraged to still consider remaining at home.

Those who are sick or have been around anyone recently with the Coronavirus should remain at home.

Contact Father if you would like him or someone to bring Communion to you at your door or offer Confession.

Please note: (Info based on State, County, Archdiocese guidelines and discussion with members of Parish/Finance/Staff). We are to maintain 6 feet between other families or persons including during Communion (single file line inside or outside) (one pew or row at a time) and when we arrive and depart for the time being. We will depart the Mass by row. We can’t gather in groups at the end of Mass or before. We will need to catch up later or on the phone. You are asked to please wear a mask while attending Mass inside (outdoors is perhaps not needed but still can be worn if you would like). There will be some spare masks available.

Here is the weekend schedule: (please attend at your registered parish)

  • St Philip Neri:  Saturdays 4:30 pm in Church until we are full based on 6 ft distance rule. Once full, individuals/families are invited to return to their vehicle to watch a Mass online/read the readings/pray until Communion time at which point a Eucharistic minister will be outside to distribute Communion.
  • Sacred Heart: Saturdays 6:30 pm at the Amphitheater outside on Main Street downtown. Please bring your own chair or a blanket. Please maintain six ft distance between other families/individuals through out. Restrooms at F&M Hall across the street are available. If it rains, we will have Mass at Church and Parish Hall for overflow.
  • Our Lady of Lourdes: Sundays 8:30 am in Church until we are full based on 6 ft distance rule. Once full, individuals/families are invited to return to their vehicle to watch a Mass online/read the readings/pray until Communion time at which point a Eucharistic minister will be outside to distribute Communion.
  • St Philip Neri: Sundays 10:45 am in Church until we are full based on 6 ft distance rule. Once full, individuals/families are invited to return to their vehicle to watch a Mass online/read the readings/pray until Communion time at which point a Eucharistic minister will be outside to distribute Communion.

All weekday Masses are in Church at usual times with continued precautions in place.

Reconciliation will still be outside.

More information:

  • Sun/Sat eve Mass will be 45 minutes max
  • Communion is encouraged by Archdiocese on hand but on tongue is still acceptable
  • There won’t be misselettes but you can bring a book or use your screen to follow the readings/prayers
  • Doors at Church are going to be propped open for entry and exit
  • Sanitizer available in Church
  • No Holy Water right now, but you can have Father bless some to be taken with you

  • We are unable to have handshakes or hugging
